These are the immediate upcoming movies of the top stars. The expectations for every movie is quite high in many ways. FYI, the Karthi starrer Dev, directed by debutant Rajath, co-starring Rakul Preet, is an action-romance road movie on the lines of Paiyaa. It is to be noted the on-screen pair, Karthi and Rakul Preet, have already had a blockbuster outing with Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, directed by H. Vinoth, that won the praises of both audience and critics.
Out of the lot, the Ajith starrer Viswasam, directed by Siva, has struggled to soar expectations of majority of the audience, ever since the announcement of the project. Ajith and Siva are teaming up for the fourth time. Their previous 3 outings were Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam. These movies fell short of impressing majority of the audience big time.
What is more challenging for the team is that even with the posters and teasers, they would not find it easy to attract majority of the audience. The main reason is that in the case of Vivegam, posters and teasers were intriguing than the actual movie.
Will have to wait for the release of Viswasam in 2019 to witness if Siva astonishes with a qualitative movie, with a star who can act terrifically.
